I currently have a Minolta Dimage S414 which I have been satisfied with. Now I want more zoom . I have been reviewing Kodak, Sony, Canon and Minolta brands so far here at Steves and Digital Camera Resorce page. I note that the Minolta Dimage Z5 will do 640 movie mode while the Z6 will only do 320. If the Z6 is later, why is the movie mode not as good?
Any other advice on zoom is also requested Vince |

I have had both Z5 and Z6, neither has a focus assist lamp. i found the Z5 did not cope well with low light (ie a living room at nigt with ordinary room lighting) bu the Z6 does cope much better in the same environment.
yes strange about the movie - but then i don't shoot move, so its not an issue for me. The combination of that lens (appears good quality throughout its range) and the anti-shake makes for a versatile camera thath gives a good image. |
