My suggestion is to check if your camera has the same problem with another windows 2k. If not, it means that your windows is corrupted. I've been connecting many cameras to win2k (Olympus, Fuji, Minolta Z3, Nikon) and all of them were connected without any problem. But you never know if the problem lays inside of the camera software or hardware. It may occur only during the connection to specific computer (hardly probable, but sometimes...).
