Existing light advice

A group of 3 black metal 'musical ants' with gold highlights is lit from the ground with small floods. Going to shoot them in the dark just for fun.
Best way to do it?

My try:
- Tripod (reverse the center column if possible), or minitripod
- remote cord
- macro mode
- close up lens if you have
- Color balance to daylight ( or just try other manual settings)
- force ISO100
- bracket (you will judge which is the best shot after)
- try different aperture
