Hi All,
Has anyone ever used one of these items, or bought one and have any input/feedback on it's effectiveness? I have a Kowa 20x Spotting Scope I bought ages ago when I first had a digicam, and also used for when I did Archery. Well, now i've got my A1, i'm wondering how I could attach the Kowa to the camera - hence the F-Adapter here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...e=STRK:MEWA:IT any feedback would be appreciated cheers Gary |

Hi Gary!
Personally, I've never done digiscoping (i.e, connecting a digicam to a scope). But afaik, it can be a good way to get that extra reach. You intrigued me to get one of those for experiments...since getting a Tcon-300 might be a bit ott for me ![]() |

that was one of the reasons I bought the Kowa originally - an experiment to see what it was like as a super zoom-lens
Not to bad, some good moon shots, but awkward in keeping it still as didn't have anything suitable to mount the digicam (Fuji MX700) and spotting scope together, hence this device query. it's the same person I got my CUL lenses from - good delivery (even though parcel/letter had a Poland postmark on it, and item location was Glasgow UK :shock ![]() regards Gary |

How's the vignetting when you put the A1 against it?
I'm thinking of starting small with only 8x for wildlife/zoo photography, but might start with extreme magnification stuff later on. ![]() |

is vignetting were their are darker patches at the corners? if so, then it's very poor as the lens is only 32mm across, so doesn't fit very well
![]() i'll try again and see if i can improve things as I only tried briefly. Gary |

I bought one of these the other day and the results are terrible with an A200, or is it me? With lens at full zoom, as advised in the instructions, all I get is a very small image in the centre of the viewfinder. The rest of the viewfinder is black. I got the same result using binoculars and a friend's Meade telescope.
Moving the eyepeice in and out of the adapter only alters the size of the image slightly and adjusting the focal length of the lens from full zoom makes the image smaller. Am I doing something wrong or have I wasted my money? |

It could be shortened to this: Any "extension" with output pupil smaller than size of lens' front element causes vignetting, no matter how much you zoom. |

Is this likely to be a problem with all adaptors that allow cameras to be attached to binos, telescopes etc?

Would a "close up lens" help here? something like this?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=7574709749 Yes, I know a singlet in this configuration would cause abberation. |
