Default F100 & memory

I just purchased the f100 with 16 mg card. Now I want (need) to upgrade my sd card. Is there any difference between the manufacturers? I've heard of problems with Sandisk > 64mg. True? I guess what I'm asking is what make of card? what minimum size of card ? Thanks!

Default Cards

I have a SanDisk 128 and so does my friend. We haven't had any problems. BTW, I am averaging about 1.2 MB per file in the highest quality jpeg mode, so you can probably use that figure to determine what size card you need. I noticed Minolta uses 2MB, which is way too conservative based on my actual file sizes. Just don't get a multi-media card. Stick with a secure-digital.

File size seems to depend on what Minolta camera you have. It seems that the F100 compresses the jpg's more than the s404 for the same resolution setting. On my s404 at 2272 x 1704, the average shot size is about 2 MB (range of about 1.5 to 2.9 MB, depending on the complexity of the image). There is a recent discussion of this on the DPReview forum.
