this filter seem to have no vignette at all at 28mm.
the usual B&W brass ring treatment and great multicoated glass. purchased at the filter connection. http://www.2filter.com/welcometo.html the owner was familiar with the D7 issue. said this would be no problem. so far it hasn't. i was originally after the hoya super pro but it seemed to be out of stock everywhere i tried for at least 2 months. this was even a little less money ring depth= 4mm series- F-PRO dia-49mm filter factor-010 (essential no light loss) type- UV Haze coating- MRC (multi resistant coating) [Edited on 7-16-2002 by sjms] |

There is this place for infos , and reporting as well …
http://webpages.charter.net/bbiggers...on_lenses.html I have a UV , a Hoya NDx4 , both 49mm thread , no vignetting , I'll check the thickness later. ( start vigneting if both stacked ) Also , Cokin 49mm UV filter is ok, same thickness than mine [Edited on 7-16-2002 by KCan] |

i like people who buy for the future. they think "will this fit or work with my next toy"?
the p system stuff looks a little weird on my camera. as i've always said "so what". i also have a series of filters i use that only fit the p series. |

Just for the record: I thought I was the only one having 'P' series Cokin for my medium format (but they work great on G series lenses from Minolta as well). Some of mine are actually made out of real glass !!!
... and KCan, I even had an A to P adapter just in case... sure come handy and I thought all my film stuffs are collecting dust... LOL [Edited on 7-16-2002 by NHL] |

True, but with Photoshop it doesn't cost a penny and you can make them in any shape or form... That's the beauty of digital and I can see why my film cameras are collecting dust, and I will be too lazy to clean them (like almost everyday in the Carribean)
A polarizer that's different... but you never know the D7i already has the color under control, and with some DSP code anything can be achieved (hey, but somebody will be complaining about battery again...LOL!!!) [Edited on 7-16-2002 by NHL] |
