Well, at theimage sizes posted, the lens quality seems very high. Otherwise, we'd be seeing some purple fringing in the areas where the tree limbs are against the bright, white sky.
The conditions you took the photos in, are the type of conditions you'll usually see this problem in. |

:shock:Wow, those zoom examples were nice. You could see some noise in the purple pole baskin robbins zoom, I wonder what the full size image noise level would be.
I wonder if he was right in saying that the smaller sensor permits a larger dynamic range of the stabilization, and whether not being able to turn it off will be a problem. looking forward to this one andcomparing it with the fz20 soon! :-) |

As I can see from the manual (available for download from the Konica Minolta US site) the AS surely can be turned off. Here is the text from the manual: Three options are available for the Anti-shake system in section 4 of the setup menu (p. 86): Display + Exp. - when the shutter-release button is pressed partway down, the anti-shake function will activate. The affect of the Anti-shake system can be seen in the live image. Exposure - Anti-shake is only applied during the exposure and is not apparent in the live image. When the shutterrelease button is pressed partway down, wait a moment before taking the picture for the Anti-shake system to stabilize the image. Off - Anti-shake will not activate. |
