I recently got a Minolta A1 and find it to be a great camera, except that I am getting very high shutter lag on flash shots (1+ seconds sometimes). Is this normal or do I have a bad camera?

for flash, your A1 will fire a pre-flash to measure the exposure. then it fire the main flash. so 1s lag is normal. without flash, you may expect lag of a fraction of a second.
A1 is not that great in this aspect anyway. nick |
