Oops Help.Accidently took the Microdrive out without shutting the D7i off.
Seemed forgiving for a day. Sometimes now pushing focus button causes camera to act like there's a dying battery - displays "err" goes blank, slowly recovers and shows 'unable to display' instead of a new photo. Switching from record to set up position and back seemed to clear problem temporarily. Sometimes after the scary blank routine it appears to recover and focus/shoot/record normally. Can reloading firmware help or is it better to send it to Minolta for repair? |

Try formating your microdrive first (in camera).

1. Copy photos off
2. Format microdrive in D7i 3. Reload 1.10 firmware? (just being sure) Wonder what NHL might suggest? Cal |

Tried an emergency fix from an old DP Review Minolta thread which said to change power save to 10 min. So far it seems to have cured the problem!

7i worked flawlessly on vacation and ever since. No more 'blank out' episodes for several weeks !
