Konica Minolta Z2

Has anyone bought a Konica Minolta z2 camera or tryied one out.
I do not see any topics on this model of camera here . I am thinking about buying a z2 and was looking for some information from someone that has the camera.

Thanks M. Keithley

The Z2 is a very new camera. If I'm not mistaken, I think it just arrived in retail stores about two weeks ago. You won't find much to read about it quite yet. I own a Z1 and I'm very happy with it. The Z2 is supposed to have a few improvements as well as an extra 0.8 megapixel of resolution.

If you're willing to give up the .8 megs and a couple other small things, you could probably save $100-150 by going with the Z1. I've used mine quite a bit the last three weekends, and I'm getting happier and happier with it. The 10x zoom is great for my racing pics, as are manual control options and overall speed. Battery life is also excellent--I took more than 100 pics last weekend, left the batteries in the camera all week, then did about 150 pics on Sunday (plus reviewing/deleting pics on the fly) and still plenty of juice in the batteries. :)
