I preview the shot, hold a cable with both hands and use the self timer to capture.
Head mounted viewer would help fine tune the composition & focus. Like the DVM viewer currently available for hands free troubleshooting. |

If I had one Minolta wish... It would be for a Photoshop plugin for Minolta's MRW (Raw) file format...

You can use the video out to a remote PC/TV monitor to achieve what you want... (and use the remote foot switch that you're thinking about)

Unless you can find one with a double position (any electronic musicians here?) sustain pedal: the 1st closure can focus th D7, and the 2nd snap the picture!

Thanks, NHL, I used a amall color monitor when we did some fast, informal video taping.
Anyone got a schematic of the remote pin functions? |

How about autofocus that actually works, accurately and reliably, 99.9% of the time.

I seem to be shooting in the 'cracks between the 2 macro settings. Still got to master the AE/AF switching (?)
