I called minolta tech support (mostly worthless)
and they said no way to get off camera flash to work with a Z1. I ordered a oc-1100 cable for my maxxum 5 film camera and when it came in I tried it with my Z1. hooked it to the hot shoe and the flash aux port on the 5600hs d flash and IT WORKES JUST LIKE IT IS ON THE CAMERA!!!! This is great I get much better pics now. I did have to set my ex value up a bit to .3 but thats it. works great even the flash zoom works with this set up. Standard disclaimer: Your milage may vary, don't try this at home, pro driver on a closed course. Now I just need to get a flash bracket.... Jerry in Baton Rouge |

It's good to know.
Now we KM Z3 users have slightly more options. |
