In case anyone is interested, I've done a bit of testing of my Konica-Minolta DiMage A2 ZLR, for my own education. I learned quite a bit about the sensor and the image-processing system in this camera.

The testing is simple, the results are not profound, but you're welcome to view the pages I created recording the outcome.

I tested the sensor sensitivity and the contrast-management, and found that I prefer to record jpeg images only at the lowest possible contrast except in flat light, and prefer to use only the lowest ISO setting, 64, because of shadow noise at higher values or when, as often happens, I want to lighten up the low values during post-exposure processing.

The tests are at http://www.danlj.org/~danlj/photos/t...ves/index.html

Best wishes,

DJ
