Hi,
I would like to know if I should keep those .THM files that were created from D7Hi ? Does anyone knows what they are for ? Any reasons to keep them ? Thanks. |

I guess that it's a thumbnail pic generated and used by the camera to list the movie files. It is a low resolution pic of the first frame of the corresponding movie clip .

wahlao1,
I think that those files must have some more usage than just for thumbnail purpose , but I don't know |

The thumbnail files are usually created as needed by one or more of your viewer programs. If you delete them, the viewer will just recreate them.
Deleteing them will not do any harm, but the next time you use your viewer to view those photos, it will take a little longer for your viewer to display the thumbnails, as it must recreate them. Declan |

I have noticed that I you "imbed" the color space in a copressed mode. the resulting photos are not .jpg but rather .jpe and will come with a .thm file as well.
