just bought a 7hi. one thing i notice is, that in wide angel mode,
when i view my pictures all the corners are croped. is this normal? is there something wrong with my lens? in one month, this is the only real problem i have noticed that, i can't live with. tia,fishman487 10 minuets after posting this , i read tracyleephoto's question. i think i forgot to say that i'm using 2 filters. a, uv & an circ-polarizer made by tiffen. any suggestions to correct this problem is greatly appreciated. |

Try this link:
http://www.network54.com/Hide/Forum/...eid=1042419711 Also, check that the lens hood is twisted all the way on (with the Minolta name aligned with the top of the camera). It takes a bit of force to click in. Elie |

There are a handful of thin profile filters that do not, but there is camera to camera variation so you really have to test with your own camera. 52mm step up rings: Almost all vignette. 54mm step up rings: Almost all vignette. 62mm step up rings: Most do not vignette, but there is camera to camera variation. 62mm is your best bet if you are buying filters and rings sight unseen, but be aware that you can still have problems, especially with thick filters." I've used Tiffen and it vignette even with one! Haven't had any problem with the Thinline from B+W, even their thin polarizer (5mm). I stayed with the 49mm since I need the lens shade for sun/sea shots... You can not stack filter @ 28mm (and it's also not a good idea). |

NHL, I bought the ultra slim 49mm B&H filter you recommended and I've had good luck so far shooting at 28mm without vignetting. I haven't had a chance to use it a lot, but so far so good.

Is it a polarizer? since they are usually thicker requiring two glass elements to rotate an one still needs to stay under that 5mm thickness limit... |
