Just a little more precision :
- Optex UV filter , 49mm , 4 mm thick ( excluding thread ) is OK
- Hoya NDx4, 49mm, 5.5 mm thick ( excluding thread ) is OK
- Cokin UV , 49 mm are OK ( there are 2 ring color, black and silver)
- Cokin A series are ok ( including +3 close up )

Question:
What is the "ideal" polarizer for D7/D7i ? circular ?

I think it's the thin 'B&W', actually Minolta has it's own 49mm for the D7 as well...(posted on the old board)
