Default dimage f100

I have a new Dimage f100 with a 128mb SD card. If I use 2 fully charged Nexcell 1800 NiMH batts, I can fill the card with 125 pics before the batts die. And that's using the flash on every picture, with only a short pause between each pic.

If I add the use of the zoom for every pic, I only get 25 pics before the batts die. Is that normal? Does a zoom draw that much power?

Thx...Tim

In short, Tim - No, it's not normal!

I'm also using 1800s in the F100 and with regular use of the zoom and lcd get around 50 shots before the cells die. Only suggestion I have is that if you're using a 'smart' charger, you may like to try a full charge in a regular unit instead (Smart chargers don't always top up to full capacity correctly!).
