Default D7i Notes

Increased 1 minute auto-power off to 5 min. Using fine & UXGA quality. Learned there are two kinds of flourescents & sodium vapour lamps to shoot in at work.
Haven't tallied battery changes/shots but get about 4 hours/set with occasional shots. Main frustration - finding the manual focus ring. Still have tons to learn but enjoying the camera.

Yup, gets better with practice, I think. Wish self-timer could be saved as a preference. Noticed that batteries charge at different rates - wonder if one isn't sub-par?

... and you can!

Store the timer in one of the 3 memory location. Go ahead try it!

In fact you can customize one location for flourescents & the other for sodium vapour lamps, and you can even make one store in RAW while another in Tiff as well... You'll just have to recall the memory# each time! (ie the D7 will remember almost everything including manual vs shutter/aperture priorities etc... even the default shutter/f-stop)

Isn't it an amazing camera?
