Default S414 LCD Sunshade

Has anyone come up with a good way to make a sun shade for the LCD screen on the S414? I find that the LCD screen is almost impossible to use in bright sunlight. Shading it with my left hand doesn't seem to do any good.

Default LCD shade

I purchased a Hoodman Q180 LCD shade which can be attached with an elastic strap that goes around the camera or with stick-on velcro strips. The hood is not perfect but is better than nothing at all. If you use the velcro strips, make sure you clean the plastic lcd cover screen with a soft cloth and glass cleaner or the velcro won't stick very well.
