Hi everyone,

Sorry for the relatively newbie question, but I was recently given a Dimage 7 (camera only) and I know absolutely nothing about it other than the little I've quickly gleaned off Minolta's website. Being an Olympus user, I'm only familiar with crappy xD cards. Anyway right now my Dimage 7 has a 160 MB CompactFlash card in it. Is there a limitation on the capacity and speed of CF cards that will work with this camera? The brief answer I found on Minolta's website was extremely vague. Thanks in advance.

I don't think there is any maximum limit on the speed of the card. The camera only reads and writes so fast, regardless. The largest card the manual says to use for my D7hi is 1GB. I think you can also go up this far with the D7. I have heard that 2GB cards are useable, but I seldom fill even a 1GB card in a day's shooting, so haven't felt the need for anything larger.
