Default Remote capture with A1

I was going to go with a Canon Rebel or 10D and accept using Remote Capture with review only, however I think the A1 might fit the bill. I need a wider angle and the A1 seems to be the only high end digital with a wider (28mm) lense and the ability to control remotely with preview.

Has anyone here used their A1 with the optional capture software who can comment on how well it has worked?

Can't say that I used it a lot but we did use it enough to check out the camera and software - it does work as advertised. You can see some screen shots in my user review here:

Thank you for the review Steve...very helpful. It seems that the A-1 is the best EVF camera that has remote control software ability. Is there any other EVF camera available now or in the next couple of months that would compete with the A-1 from a remote PC perspective? The camera will be used on a mast mount.
