Default Minolta A1: dust on sensor

Hi *,

I am experiencing this problem on the A1, which of course is not a DSLR. I have never noticed this before, but I have to admit I used it no time since the repair from faulty sensor years ago.

I can see a spot at about 2/3 from left and 1/3 from top which appears clearly to be due to dust.

Any hint would be appreciated, although I believe that I will need to send in the camera for servicing :-(

cheers

It certainly looks like dust on the sensor. As this camera doesn't
have any easy way to access the sensor, it looks like another service
job.

You could try talking to the shop that replaced the sensor. They might
be willing to clean it for little or no charge. Although it is probably not
reasonable to expect a warranty repair several years after the sensor
replacement.

Alternatively, you could just live with it and clone out the offending
pixels. This is the result of one click with the healing tool in Gimp.
