The integrated image stabilization gives them a leg up but they are giving the competition until next year to match them. They would probably have done better to keep their mouths shut unless they have inside information that someone else is going to release such a system before them.

Eye-start viewfinder proximity sensor (power on) EVF?

I would have preferred a 4/3 sensor, but I guess they had to go with the best available. Maybe by the 2004 release they will have become more mainstream and better ones will be available. The lenses designed for the film cameras would work well either way and they could get cheaper and lighter (slightly) digital only lenses with 4/3.

Im anxious to see that new EVF on the A2 might not be bad at all.

You know ... I don't mind links to the "other" sites but why does everyone always post a link to DP Review when we have the exact same new camera info on our Breaking News and PMA Report pages?

Try posting a link to my site at DP Reviews forums and see how long it lasts before it mysteriously disappears ...

In terms of posting long messages, this site does have an advantage because DP Review has a 6000 character limit. So, I post my long major messages here and when it is necessary have links in my DP Review messages to this site. It seems my links over there work well.

I regularly post links to your site on dpreview. I've never seen one disappear. I don't know how to link some without irritating you, but I can assure you there are several current threads with links to your site over there.

I hate the layout of the dpreview board and wish everyone would migrate here. It is a nuisance to have to click on each response individually, often getting lost in cyberspace. And if you don't go back to the original every time you run out of "backs" and have to go to the history. The search isn't working right half the time. This is a much better run board IMO.
