where did you get your 7Hi from ? Cameratopia has it for 999.00. Of course it is grey market and they are rip off artists so you will never ever get it for that price.

Make sure to check the flush time after 5 frames of raw (ie write time)... I'll indicate if the camera is in the real pro-caliber or not!

Well it doesn't look like he timed it in RAW:
http://www.dpreview.com/forums/read....essage=3432764

The other remark '(only higher setting is RAW)' is also confusing... What is it? 14.1MB / 28s = 0.53 MB/s transfer rate or the 14.1MB / 5s = 2.82MB/s when the buffer is full? One also one needs to know the speed of the flash card (or the microdrive) that was used!

Default 8.5 seconds per frame...

http://www.dpreview.com/forums/read....essage=3449831

Which averages to about 9.1MB / 8.5s = 1.07MB/s in raw. It could still be firmware driven and barely affected by x24 flashes or microdrive... (unlike the Kodak DCS Pro 14n @ 12MB/s!)

it seems that the original idea to remove 640x480 was dumped by minolta in the 7Hi. its still there in there. why? i don't know.

D7Hi-as to the flush time. 5 raw frames from start to flush right after the first frame fired (red light on) to red light out is approx 53 seconds. this is to a ridata 512MB cf card
