Default Lighting 'fun - continued

Went to an antique tractor show and tried different tricks with the D7i. Got a spinning flywheel with slightly blurred effect and back ground focused by using ISO 200. Had to watch out, though, for light coming into the edge and washing out the photo - wished I'd brought the lens shade. Got to 'think like the D7i

good start.

can i suggest putting the iso in auto and let the camera control it? try it on the same shot first manual on your selected iso and then auto iso. then choose which one you like.

next we'll talk about bracketing.

Default SJMS - How about self timer?

Can't get self timer to fire except if in manual focus. What's the 'magic combination otherwise?

Probably b/c the AF can't lock for some reasons ( movements) . The AF must be locked to allow the countdown.

KCan is correct without a AF lock in single shot mode it won't fire. in continuous mode it will fire without it af locking
menu button on back
basic tab
af mode
that should work. it did for me.
