I droppet my newly bought Z2 and it hit a somewhat hard floor ..

While everything else seemes ok, the pictures get horisontal lines when it gets stored. The .mov function is completely fine, and it seemes everything else is fine too. Just the .jpg compression-thingy thats gone mad.

Any idea what this will cost to repair? I have no insurance ..

Is this still under warranty? If so it'll only cost you to ship the camera to them, also since you said under Jpeg compression messes up, it could be the processor thatis be damaged. Call up Minolta and see if you can sort this mess out!

How can the warranty cover it when I actually dropped the camera to the floor myself?

Thought they just covered fabrication errors.
