I just received my Black Z3 from newegg today after much anticipation. I took it out for a few shots and thought I might throw a couple of samples of its Macro ability. I know from perusing the forums that many are looking for samples of the Z3, so I'll try to help out if I can.

Note: It was a fairly windy day today, so it was a bit of a challenge to get some clean shots out there.

Hope these help possibly influence someone (one way or the other). These are straight from the camera, no post processing or clean up was done - as I'm sure you'll be able to see.

Peace out!

Thanks! I wait for other samples . Do you have z2? Or anyone of your friends have z2? I'm wondering how big is the difference between z2 and z3 in making photo with the same settings and the same place.

I used to have a Z1, but not a Z2. The lens in the Z2 was much improved in the Z2 and I would expect the Macro performance to be very similar to Z3. I'll post more images Sunday.

Also, you may like to know that the lens no longer rattles in its housing like the Z1 & Z2. It is built much better than previous models. The battery door housing is very solid, there is a (metal?) flip door for the SD card on the bottom of the unit, and there is also some type of synthetic rubber on the outer portion of the hand grip, so it really feels nice in your hand.
