A bit noisy even at ISO 50, compared to a 3MP camera, IMHO. Noise can even be seen on the official test pictures. Of course, this is only visible when viewing the image at 100% zoom.

Hi,

I have a z3 and u can shot with iso100 and the noise rate is acceptable. If you need to shot in low light use flash or use noiseware software to remove the noise.

The lens is f4 at most of the zoom range, which means 1 f-stop. 1/125 becomes 1/60, 1/1000 becomes 1/500, 1/2 sec becomes 1 sec, and so on.

The other competitors are the Canon S1 (f2.8/f3.1) and the Panasonic FZ series (f2.8/f2.8 ).

On Daylight you get mostly 1/300 - 1/600 sometimes 1/1000 (Max of Z3)
with12x Tele.
Thats enough even without AS.

in the early sunset you become 1/100 down to 1/40 wich is usable with AS.

I think the noise on 4MP/2.5" CCD is worse enough, i do not believe the FZ20 will do great pictures with that much dots on so little CCD Space
