Thanks Tony.. I have been searching for a direct link or location to buy nice looking connectors for the D5, 7 projects.

Here is a modified micro reciever i have made for my D5. I used a 2ch radio with 2 buttons. The setup can control 4 different functions.

I should have more images as i test things out.. At this time my controlers look like they went through a war..

I shoot mainly macro. I am also a newbee to the photo world and hope maby in some way I could help out in this area.

I use Deans Micro Connectors for now. You have to shave them down and modifie them a bit with heat.. It looks crude but they work..

Kirk

Thanks in advance for all your help!

It has a 20ft out of the case range.

Extending the rang:
I use a Futaba sport radio and a Deans amplified anteni. It adds about 50 yards of range.

Advanced
I have also tried micro recievers for "pro" type RC cars/Aircraft (Tekin) 45$-200$. These recievers can reach out at the 50-100 yard range and are the same size if not smaller as the one in the image above.

Another project on remote control if you do long range communications to your camera/s:
A wireless micro cam and a servo controlled tripod. The camera can be mounted on the EVF, LCD, or anywhere. The camera mount is controlled by 2 servos, 1 micro reciever, and a Futaba radio. Noise reduction comes in the form of pading around the servos and the camera. The batteries are all held on the tripod not the mount. The camera mount turns 180 degrees in each direction.

Camera
The transmitting range is 30 metres or 100 ft. It can be amplified for longer range. (Transmit To TV or a Laptop)

Parts
Amplified radio anteni and plugs i use now. Deans site link http://www.wsdeans.com/

This all would complete a wireless still or video camera.
Hope this helps.... 8)

I have purchased a 3 pin connector for the remote and it works, but I'm not quite pleased with it as I would like to be. It is not keyed and the body is designed to fit the pins, but not really the socket. I have another on order that may be a better fit (should be in later this week) and I'll provide info then. They are REALLY CHEAP . Also, my circuit boards for the RF remote project were put on hold because of an error on my part :x . The order is in again and I hope I'll get boards next monday......
