One question...should I upgrade the firmware right off the bat?

if it would be my camera I would do so since upgrades on all sites say that it improves camera logic a lot and pictures have less problems with overexposure... if you wish I could post links to reviews which say so also you can check results from camera before and after firmware upgrade here: http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/mi.../gallery.shtml
(look for the photos on the bottom, there would be two links for old and new firmware). Also it's possible that your camera will come with 1.02 version of firmware preinstalled.
Maybe some owners of Z3 could share their opinions on this issue as well to confirm or deny my words.
