Default Question of a retailer

Has anybody dealt with Digital-E-Tailer? They are advertising a Dimage 7HI for $976.00, brand new, American warranty, absolutely not grey merchandise, $25 to ship, and all manufacturer's included equipment. Good deal, or too good to be true? Thanks...jb

I recommend you check them out first here:

http://www.resellerratings.com/

I just purchased a D7i from http://www.buydig.com

at a super price and can highly recommend them. I think they have the D7hi at around the price you quoted.

Just read the reseller ratings and you'll realize if they are one of those "too good to be true" priced  online retailer  or not.

I rely on Resellerratings.com also. But watch out for some of the comparison price search sites that also post ratings. I had the experience where a reseller persuaded me to post a 5 star rating on Pricegrabber, in exchange for free shipping, before I even received the merchandise. They actually have an e-mail form you fill out that they use to check the rating. After I agreed, I had second thoughts, but as it turned out the service was excellent, so my conscience was somewhat eased. I wonder how widespread this practice is?

I also purchased a D7i from http://www.buydig.com. They delivered the camera a few days after I ordered it with no hassel. I looked at a couple of places that had dirt cheep prices but they tried to sell you overpriced accesories in a package with the camera. Another good indicator of a vendor is to see the price of accessories if a 120meg cf card cost $500.00 then they will usually try to sell you one in order to get the camera $200.00 cheeper then at other vendors.
