HI,

I got My Z3 yesterday and it's giving me problems connecting to my PC.... I tried on 3 different Machine with different OS.. ( 98, 2000 and NT) and the same result.. the camera does not seem to recognize the connection.. the screen never says "Initializing USB Connection"..

I got it over internet so returing the camera I want to keep as last resort..

If any one had similar problem please help... I am thinking of getting an USB card reader if camera connection does not work.. It it a good idea ?

The AV connection from camera is working fine.. An on those PCs other USB devices are working fine..

What is better.. returning the thing to the seller or send it to company directly ??

Regards,

Vikas

hi, i'm a newbie from belgium and i'm a owner of a z3 .

excuse me for my english, it is approximative.

i have the same problem with my digicam, and i haved see that:

when the battery is full, the digicamas connected to the pc.

But when the battery isat the mid- charge, the z3 does not connect.

I think is a problem of all the z3.

the solution , buy a card reader, it's not expansive(15$) and you will read every kind of file..... , music for your mp3 player ,for example.

by the way, happy new year to all the digi photographers

regards!!!!

Jean-michel

currently, I haven't any preoccupation with a function of the card reader
When I decharge photographs with the z3 or the card reader, I transfere photographs directly on the hard disk.
Thus, i think it's all the same.
Best wishes........
