Since Minolta does not make a fitted case for the A200, what would you suggest? I want something small for protecting the A200 (just the digicam, no accessories).

Some people don't agree, but I am a big fan of fanny packs. I take my camera to the flea market and find a fanny pack that fits the camera relatively snugly but that I can still access the camera easily. Then I pad it out with pieces of mouse pad to protect the camera from being bumped (I glue them in with contact cement). I have either belt pouches or fanny packs for all of my cameras. I like having my hands free and the camera available at events and such. I also don't like leaving it laying around and having to retrieve it when I want pictures. I also don't like having to find a place for a case when I am using the camera.

I have an older Minolta D7i, which is about the same dimensions and weight as the A200. It is a battery hog so I need space for a spare set of 4 NiMH batteries, but you could probably get by without that.

I'm using a Lowepro D-Res 30 AW which hold my Fuji S602 - slightly bigger than the A200 which I hope soon to have.

The case is quite well padded and comes with a wrap over waterproof cover for added protection against the elements.

I use a Lowepro EX-160
http://www.lowepro.com/Products/Shou...ic/EX_160.aspx
for my DiMAGE A2, and 7Hi, and it fits the camera well, with plenty of room for spare batteries (front pocket) and maybe a smaller flash unit, or filters or something in the main pocket.
Hope that helps,
Max
