Hi All, About how long would you guess it will be before the Z5 is available in stores? I was going to go & buy the Z3 this weekend but, I might wait & get the Z5!?

Thanks, Phil B.

agreed, I've got the same feeling when check their sample images, maybe it's done by CxProcessâ„¢ III or better sensor chip, although I disappointed as well by news that it has same size and actually same features as Z3(which is my current camera).
BTW I wonder why they put only close subjects... and no even single distant view photo, they usually put some, maybe there is issues with sharpness or noise on high zoom ranges?...
I also wonder about changing manner of specification page, data there look more tricky now and don't really bring so useful information as before. Also wonder about 4 speed shutter(if it's truth is it way to cut down problems with noise for long shutter speeds?).

I currently have the Z3 and am fairly happy with it except for:
[1] Difficulty focusing and framing in low light (needs that AF assist light!
[2] Tiny LCD screen...nearly impossible to see in sunlight
[3] Flash is annoying slow to recharge (even with fresh batteries)

I might be willing to trade up just for the larger display, but it'd be nice if they added some other improvements.

Other than the 5MP and larger LCD, have they changed anything else with the Z5? I can't seem to determine anything else that is different.

I just wish they continue developing Z series line and in future come with more advanced model, although I'm seriously doubt of this.

Agree with the 1st & 3rd for sure, not too bothered by a small LCD, afterall draws less battery power. Certainly better constructed then the flimsy Z1 ... what are Minolta up to with their cameras? They're supposed to be making improvements .. that AF Light is a must for indoor shots - my Z3 just hunts and hunts to focus indoors, makes you look really dumb when you're taking a photo and everyone is posing waiting for the damn thing to lock on focus.

Nop it`s 4 sec max with no bulb available compared to the 15 sec of the z3.

The link you gave was only a preview,if you check a full review you`ll see i`m right.
