Hi, I just bought the minolta z3 camera. I am not a professional by no means. I will probably shoot most of my pictures in the "Auto Mode" or the "P" Mode. Which one of these modes will provide the best quality of pictures? Is there much of a diference in quality in the 2 modes? Thank you for your help.

The difference between Auto and Program is substantial. . .
In auto mode the camera does EVERYTHING right down to selecting the white balance, ISO, and everything else. In Program mode, the camera still does it all, but you can change it if you want (say, if you were in a dark area, and wanted to get some long exposures of something at ISO 100, you could-rather than letting the camera select ISO 400, giving you a shorter shutter speed) Pretty much, in Program mode you have the OPTION to change things if you want, where as in auto mode you do not.
Hope that helps,
Max
P.S. Shoot in Program if you can. . .there is no reason not to :G.
