Hello, i have my A200 a couple of weeks now, and still learning to work with it,

Nice pictures. I like the house, but would like to ask how you obtained the strange halo effect around the edge.

The house is in fac a castle here in Izegem, Belgium.

I changed it to grayscale, did some unsharp mask and played a bit with the highlights/shadows.

i'm glad you like the pics...

Yes, very nice pictures, especially the castle/house. That subtle halo effect gives the abandoned building a slightly supernatural, eerie atmosphere - very impressive.

I'm considering buying an A200, so these excellent photos are helping me decide!:-)

Stig ,I'm sorry. It must have looked like I was trying to take over your thread. I just read again and when I posted my pics I thought this was a "request for A200 pics" thread I had seen on this board earlier...

Wow. I have been thinking about getting an A200. Saw a few complaints about the "shortcomings", but judging from all of your pics, I think my decision is made.
