Default Is the 7Hi fast enough for events photog like wedding etc...

Hi! I'm thinking of getting a 7HI for shooting weddings and other events. I just want to know if its is fast enough? I don't have the budget for a D100 or D60. Any inputs will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Although I never handle a D100 or a D60, but I am pretty sure that the AF on those camera will beat the D7i/D7Hi .
For the fps, 2fps is ok, IMO, as long as you don’t use RAW , which can fill the buffer and freeze the cam for a lil while.
For interior shooting, I am not worrying about AF ability , but more about the flash recycle time, which could cause you miss important instant if too long. Of course, an external flash gun is imperative.

There are certainly some members here who already “passed through” weedings , stay tuned

if u use external battery pack, the flash cycle will be much shorter. i use canon bp930 li-ion 7.2 v 3700 mah battery (which is shared with my gl-2 camcorder), great result.

Yeah, using an external battery pack have another advantage, in case it get weak, just pull the plug and you are on the internal ( well charged of course) batteries, it takes some ten precious seconds to change the internal batteries.
And don't forget a ( or many) big CF card or a microdrive.
