Looks pretty good, Phranque, but your moon looks 'darker'...is that because of the telephoto?

I'll have to go back and find the posting on the telephoto attachment...you never know when you might 'need' it!

Hello again, Barb,

Darkness - oh that's probably my fault. I probably got the levels a bit off when I put it in Photoshop, that's the only adjustment I made. I wouldn't say it's the best moon shot I've ever seen but it's not too bad I guess. I should have found a good photo of the moonin a magazine and took a shot of that (cheat!!!).

I hope your hubby's aircraft are doing well. Lovely day here in the UK this morning, and about time too!

Here is one taken by moonlight with my A200 set to 800ISO, 2.8, 4sec with no processing.

This is the little community of St Albans during their annual Folk Festival. Like the St Albans in England, it was also an overnight stop on teh coach road.

Barb, steve, Mato and any other moon photographers.......

The moon is at its nearest to earth this yearon July 21st at 357290 km. So that's the time to get the camera out I guess. Next nearest after that is September 2006. Itlooks apparently 1.14 times 'bigger' at its nearest and appears 30% brighter.

I Googled that lot, I'm no astronomer.

Can I sneak this one in under the door? Just a short time after dawn this morning, taken from my back doorstep. The tidal River Dee in the foreground and Liverpool way in the background. Not a perfect shot by any means but I kinda like it.
