Well, I was about to hook up my camera to the computer, and I decided to try to format it from the camera one more time (I had not used it in @ 2 weeks). Incredibly enough, it had no problem formatting the card! I was so happy I literally "jumped for joy"! So my troubles are ended, and thank you all for your help. I love this website and all you great people !

I'm glad its workout for you...

As a reference in the future, you can always format from a DOS line:

Start > Program > Accessories > MS-DOS Prompt
then type FORMAT 'drive name':

Be careful with 'drive name' to refer to your flash device reader (and especially not C: !!!)

I guess the gremlins in your CF card got bored and left :-).

Anyway, glad you got it formated. NHL's command line for formating the card is the simplest to use, but as he says, be sure of the drive letter of your CF card when you do.
