Hiya Folks

I've got a Konica Minolta Z3 camera, and I've had a few small problems.

When taking photos when I press and hold down "The Button" the camera is supposed to show it has locked on by going (the square in the screen) red breifly then white to show it has locked on. However, mine doesn't. It stays red.

Does this happen with anyone else or have I just misunderstood??

It does seem to focus alright so far...
Thanks in advance

I also get the red dot sometimes. Usually when I shoot in dimly lit areas. Otherwise, I find it very easy to get a focus lock (white). If you are shooting something very near (say 3 ft. or less), try using the macro or super macro setting to get a focus lock.

Sorry, I'll try and explain again.

When I press the button the white square goes red to what I am locking onto. However, that actual square; I thought that went white when locking on.

I know about the little dot. Is that the only thing that will go white or does the square in the middle go white as well??

TIA

The red square in the middle indicates the segment of the focus area in which focus occurred. It does not turn white. As you know, the focus dot appears white if focus was acheived and red if not.
