Default Which case for DiMage 7i?

Hello... New to these forums and could use a little advice:

Got a DiMage 7i last week and I couldn't be happier with it. However, I can't seem to find a case for it. The Minolta site lists part number CS-DG7 as the case for it, but it doesn't seem to exist (Or I can't find it anywhere online or locally).

What case do you use for you 7i? How tight of a fit is it?

Thanks,

Rob

Default bags, bags, bags

Lowepro, Tenba, Domke, Tamrac, each have about 3-4 different ones that are really HQ and will work. of course this all depends on how much junk you want, need, or are willing to carry around. these are cases that will give more than a minimal level of protection and access. hit their websites. there's some really cool stuff out there. some even have built in rain covers which is useful if you were in orlando fl 2 weeks ago. a deluge almost every day i was there

Default Case vs accessory kit?

NHL, If the Dimage 7i ships with NiMh batteries and charger - wonder why you bought the
'Minolta Kit'

Cald

The kit comes with the AC adapter, and the fast individual Quest charger plus 4 extra batteries. I thought it was a good deal over paying separately for all the items (and it was last year's Xmas present from my kids...)

The charger that was shipped with the D7 was a paper weight (according to Padeye as well)!

Default Accessory kit - (I'm closing in)

Thanks NHL, I figured there was a good reason. (My Minolta Dimage 7i shopping list is expanding with the help of this forum. BTW, It looks like I can use the UV and polarizing lenses from my SLR with a 49 to 55 mm adapter! (Save $)

If you don't have a lot of extra "stuff" to carry around, the Samsonite Worldproof 3.02 is the one I'd buy. It fits my C-2100 like a glove, and is very small for a camera bag with lots of storage compartments. I don't own a DiMage 7i, but it was recommended to me from a colleague who does.

I have a Lowerpro Nova 2 for light traveling , can fit my D7i , 1 or 2 set of bat. , 1 quickcharger, my portable CD and my sunglasses
( both sides have net pockets ok for Evian bottles )

For serious times , I have the Lowerpro Compact AW , which can fit the D7i, my film SLR with the 28-200 zoom mounted, a 50mm lens, 2 (yes 2) Metz potato smashers , 2 add. Battery racks for the Metz, my MFI-2 ( a homemade flash interface) , bunch of spare alkaline and MiNH , and may be I can squeeze my lunch in
( both sides have detachable cases about the size of a portable CD)

... and don't forget the Zero's from Halliburton... They are practically indestructable (Mine are all scars from traveling & stepping on). One can change the insert on them to fit the D7, but carrying one of those theses day will invite the sniffing dogs from the bomb squad...

A bright yellow waterproof Pelican case... now that's different... The security personnels think you're probably too goofy to single you out!

LOL

The Tamrac Digital 6 fits very well if you want to carry the 7i only.
