Once again I have sold my camera. The A200 is a fantastic camera and I only had it a few weeks. I was offered a terrific deal on a digital Rebel and could not say no. It should be here Monday and then the spending shall begin on accesories.*

After 2 weeks with the rebel....let's just say I bought my A200 back from the friend I sold it to. I sure did miss her!

Goofas,

Was this a case of disillusionment with the Canon or simply puppy love for your A200?

Too big with the lenses and no IS. I also missed the moveable LCD. The fast auto focus is the only thing I miss.

Actually, the two cameras complement each other.

The Canon when you need higher quality, and the A200 for when you just want a p&s to take with you for the day.

Yes - I really can follow that !!!
I sold my A200 to get a NIKON D50, because we needed differnet lenses.
But what a difference !!
The A200 is far far better than most "testers" mention !.

The "real view" in M- Mode of your picture is something the D50 will never show you.
Also bracketing (Exposure) ist tremendous. The D50 (and all DSLRs ??) moves the mirror for every shot, so there is a magnificant vibration (when using a Panosauris VR Head).

If the A200 would have a exchangable lens and the A2 viewfinder --> that woul be it.

Ciao
