Default Help me!! i am making design portfolio

Hey people, i am a senior student in interior design. i am making my design portfolio . i tried to take some pictures of my projects last night but those boards with vellum/floor plans/ tracing paper didnt show up nicely. i barely can see the lightweight. what should i do??? i was going to photo copy the board but it's too huge . what kind of lighting or settings of the camerca i can play around or use so the lightweight of the floor plans will show up nicely?? i am using the Minolta D7i. Thanks

Might want to use a few black and white boards to direct shadows and definition... shoot without flash... make sure your white balance is correct... move in close... use a tripod...

Then correct the rest in PhotoShop...

I would go for scanning the work.
We regulary let pro shop scan many of our old drawings ( A0 format , no problem)
Another advantage with scanning is absence of distorsion.

try outdoor, shaded area (not directly under sunshine). should be much better than using flash
