Default Dimage S414 - Which is better.....

I am lookiing at the S414 and have a few questions.

1. Which is better? A good 4.0 MP camera or a great 3.2 MP at the same price?

2. Does the movie function of the S414 record sound? Does it playback the sound when viewing on the camera itself?

3. There seems to be (or at least there was on the 404) a question of "Colorspace". What is this and is it still an issue on the 414?

Thank you all for your knowledgable responses.

Funny.
I had just read those two links (thread and review) before I posted this thread.

Honestly, I am really leaning towards the S414, but I want to be sure. I think this is the deal, but I have also heard good on the Nikon 4300. Reading Steve's review of it and the S414, I still lean towards the S414, but you can never be too sure.

Any opinions of the Nikon?

Default Dimage S414

You can find the S414 for $264 + S&H. I'm not advertising, but if you ask me I'll tell you where. This is the camera I plan on getting. That is.. if my wife lets me.

Check the best rating on vendors before ordering:

Default S414 for $264..

Here: http://www.digitalliquidators.com/de...d=mndimages414 and for the one millionth time, I do not work for this company. Notice no refer codes on that URL. It's a straight link to an item. I just hate to see people spending nearly $400 for this camera.

Stay away from this company. http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2375.html

19 reviews and 0 rating, This company also goes by the name Broadway Photo and A&M Photo world

always check resellerrating before you make purchase. Here is a good read on what you need to know before buying it online.

Default Sorry..

I did not know that.. I looked for their ratings and could not find them. I just ordered from them, we'll see how it is. Sorry if it seemed like I was intentionally misleading or trying to cause harm to anyone. As always.. do your research.

UPDATE: The other people were right, it is a scam. I'm so sorry I didn't know this before I posted here. They tried to tell me, after I refused all of their accessories and options, that it would take 3-4 weeks because it was now not in stock.. it was the "International version" instead of the "USA version". I cancelled my order right then and there. Once again.. I'M SORRY!

Q1. is somewhat subjective - not everyone values the same features the same way.

Q2. I have an S404, but I would guess the S414 would be similar. My S404 does record sound and play it back (albiet very quietly) through the internal speaker.

Q3. The S414 saves images automatically to sRBG colorspace. (The S404 does not, requiring use of software to process the conversion)
Hope this helps,
Richard.
