Default About to BUY!!

Hi Guys,
Enjoyed reading your messages... Thanks, all helpful info to go into my decision making process.

I am stuck in that place where all first time buyers get stuck.

Which one.....?

Minolta 7Hi or the Nikon 5700 (sorry to say such a dirty word in the MINOLTA section of this page)

Can you please give me few reasons as to why you all chose the 7Hi over the competition?

Last but not least my main sticking point....Can you buy Tele & Wide angle converters for the 7Hi?

Thanks again,
Look forward to hearing back as my wallet is burning, ready to buy!!

Tim

- 28mm is a must for me (FYI: CP5k start at 28mm too)
- manual zoom, (I hate buzz buzz zoom)
- manual focus ring / direct focus override possible
- flex focus (you can move the focus spot point)
- 4x mag for manual focus
- quick selectable display: grid/crosshair/histogram/clear
- excellent low light focus ( I compared D7 original with CP5000)
- AA battery
- I am very comfortable with the body in hand, and the controls fit my taste

Personally , I do not own any add on lenses (yet) , so canít speak further , but from the link in the above thread , test pics look great.

Anyone will be happy with either camera, but here some other minor details on the D7Hi:

1. Raw pictures at 3 frames per seconds up to 5 frames
2. Selectable AdobeRGB colorspace like the big boys
3. The hard to beat WYSIWYG manual mode with a real-time histogram
4. Real filter thread plus build-in electronic filters (both for color and B&W modes)
5. Selectable power ratio no pre-flash with the built-in (and a PC terminal)
6. Wireless TTL flash (with multiple heads)
