I don't know about the filters, On the description you can see DKE on the filters, so don't know whats going on!

Ciara is an Irish name. The wife is part Irish.

Ian

The depth of field is very narrow with the macro filter and thats why it is out of focus on the left so you got to shoot at f8 to get the best depth of field...if you did shoot at that then try shooting the coin head on

Yep,

I'm just wondering if thats why the extension tube is stepped up to 52mm.

Larger dia filter so the focus stays further out?

Clutching at straws here Yes I know the filters are poor quality but that shot isn't too bad if you look at it like this:?

But just thinking aloud.

Also found lots of smear marks on the glass.....Specsavers specs cleaner!!!!!! wow that does the trick.

You guys are doing a good job on close up exploration here!

Tony ...that shot .... KIF_1808 has superb colour tones .... and the other two are also very good.

And Ian .....Ciara was born to be in front of the lens ........ what a pose! .....and very complimentary lighting too.

"The wife is part Irish" ..... now which part would that be? :-) ......to be sure, to be sure!

Those items will give you lots to play with for your very few $$'s ......... and you will be able to use them despite their shortcomings once you have got used to their shortcomings!

Keep them coming ....... cheers, KK

KK

Cheers. I got those flowers for the wifey and once they were in the vase i took them over to the patio doors to get good light. The camera is excellent at capturing macro in detail and colour. Posted that viewfinder to you today

Ian

KK is right. Once you get to know the short comings of those filters you can use them creatively.
