Hi,

I have the SL 400R and have noticed that when I select Auto Exposure Mode F2.8 or F7.5, that it only works sometimes. Does the camera auto default to AE Program mode when it cannot correctly adjust the shutter speed to accomodate the selected aperature?

Hi Ed

Out of interest ...... how do you know it isn't working .... or ...... have you seen it select a different aperture?

I had a play with my 300RT* but couldn't make it switch, it just gave the usual low speed indication at one extreme. At the other end ....gross over exposure ... it just took the shot!

Cheers, KK

Hmmm, that's interesting. I have tried to repeat the error without success. I guess I should be happy, but I'm more confused and perhaps wondering if I'm getting old! :?

To view the photograph's exposure settings, hit the up arrow during playback. That is where I saw (I think) that the Program AE wasn't working. I guess as long as it's working I'll make myself happy!

Thanks for the reply KK, this Kyocera forum seems to be a bit slow, but I sure like the tiny SL300/400 cameras Kyocera produces.

I have another question off topic and I'll post in another thread, maybe you can help.

There are many programs for Macintosh and Windows that read the EXIF data in the JPEG file. The EXIF data contains all of the exposure information.

I too like these little cameras. I leave my chroma adjustment in the + position on my SL300R.
