I think my kyocera has more sound than what you describe gerrard. Can we at least agree on that it is NOT a normal buzzing sound that one would expect when zooming? like bzzz-bzzz..

Another thing: My lens (the silver-thing) is not totally stable. I mean, I can move it up&down and sideways a mm or so.. Is this supposed to be like this?

Hi Jeans,

I noticed that to some time ago i went to the local mediamarkt and checked
this with a display model and it had the same i can't really remember testing
this with a different model/brand camera i was under the impression that i did
with the hp supersoomand it was the same. I will ask this as well when i

As regards to the lens movement mine is the same i.e. there is a slight movement.

My brother has an Olympus c-725 x8 zoom which alsoIthinkhassome lens movment. Maybe this is normal for ultra zoom cams

Regards

Kyocera Kid say ... "Wobberly lensprototype of new image stabilization system" :?

With the inertia of the components holding the lens still as your hands tremble!

Mine works very well, especially with some lubrication obtained from the local hostelry!

Cheers, KK

When i first got my camera i was real concerned about the wobbly lense bit too. I have double checked and my zoom is not loud enough to cause me any concern at the moment. I have dropped the camera from waist level onto a hard rubber floor accidently of course but it survived crash dummy test 1
