Hi Stewart

1) good price .... let us know if you think you are getting good results from it.

3) I agree! One that has been opened in a shop, e.g. to demo it to a customer, is far less likely to be sent out if a fault was noticed. With an unopened one, it's pot-luck! We can postulate 'til the cows come home how the 256 card got in there!

Enjoy the camera!

Cheers, KK

If a card is inside, someone must have put in there, so the camera IS NOT new, maybe returned due to a fault or ex demo.

It might have been pre registered with Kyocera, so if a fault develops Kyocera might only repair it, if returned by original owners, as the warranty does not apply to other owners etc.

Check to see if the date on the pictures are old, as you could have a year old camera, second hand with a new price.

Very good post Steve with some sound advice. Personally i like my new things to be new. I prefer to buy new when i can so that i know how the item has been treated from day one

As in the memory there are also two short video clips of the same two fellows in the pics, and the pics and video were both obviously done in the electronics store, I suspect the salesperson just was showing the prospective buyer the pic and video quality for demo purposes. I guess I will find out more when I register the warranty.
