I guess you are very lucky in a way. I have always used uv filters except on a Viviter 75 - 205 zoom i had for 10 years and never got a scratch on the lens....i was just lucky i guess.

Hi Tony

I think being a bit careless with things is part of my character.

Can you notice any defects caused by the scratch in the top flower pic?

I can't but that doesn't mean a more expirienced personwill not notice anything.

I 'll appriiateyour sincere opinion.

Bye

I went to Daytona Bike Week 2005 and took some photos with my M410R. Here's a link to this photo gallery online - for all you bike lovers:

I know - I should've worked on the angle, light direction, etc (pics weren't taken that good for the most part). But with all the excitement around - this was my secondary priority

Nice one mate!!! Lovely custom jobs there and the continuous shoot of the burning rubber...

The pics came out well with nice colour. I wonder if any of those bikes come from the US TV shows that show custom bike builds. Wifey comes from Racine....home of the Harley....i have never been there when they have the annual meet though..sounds like a crazy event

Tony - there were plenty of "famous" bikes - exact race replicas, custom builds from TV's American Chopper show, Bikers' Build-off, etc - National Geographic bike, Hooters bike - you name it. All major companies and bike magazines were there. Someone called it the Trailer Week I didn't see many sports bikes with mods deserving attention -but I didn't get a chance to see races.

Too bad i missed it! Now that beautiful blue sky is bike weather unlike what we have here! I watch a lot of the TV shows you mentioned when i can and it would have been awesome to see the bikes in the flesh. I will just have to wait for the UK event when ever it is but it wont be as lush!

Nice bikes....

I hope to be biking as of this summer as well.
I'm trying to get my licence for the motorcycle and finally this weekend
the weather looks to be really promising with a predicted 20 degrees C
when i will be having a lesson again. I've really been freezing my fingers
of the last few weeks.(+ niceslide)
